OMB
Electromagnetic Brake
The OMB
electromagnetic brake is a brake from the German company PRECIMA.
It is
designed for applications where it is necessary to stop movement quickly and
accurately.
By applying
a voltage of 24 Vdc, the coil creates a magnetic field that attracts the
armature to stop the movement.
It is a
positive, i.e. current-operated brake. When a DC voltage is applied to the
coil, a magnetic field is generated, so that the brake’s coil holder with
friction lining attracts the armature.
The brake
consists of the armature with the friction material and the rotor, which in
turn consists of the armature with the diaphragm spring.
When a
voltage of 24 Vdc is applied, the coil creates a magnetic field which attracts
the armature to stop the movement.
The OMB
electromagnetic brake is characterized by having 3 different types of
construction:
Construction
0: It is the basic brake unit made up of the inducer and the armature, with the
riveted spring-membrane to be mounted directly on the pulley or pinion.
Construction
F1 and F2: It is made up of the inductor, the armature and the aluminum bushing
to be mounted on the axis where the braking action is carried out.
